What is the reason for going with the one word explanations? Leading with the cat image was a good choice, it is the strongest image out of the bunch. Getting in close (almost) always makes a better photo, it gets the photo to be much more intimate for the viewer.
The family photo could be cropped in tighter. The sky at the top is almost solid white and not needed in the frame. Remember, if it is not adding to the image it is taking away.
Last photo- interesting focus. Virtually every photo of a field of flowers that I have seen the close flowers are in focus, you went the other direction and made the far flowers in focus, good choice.

My reason for the one word explanations was that I wanted to make the viewer notice only the things that were contained within the one word caption, I thought it’d give the photos deeper intuitions when you looked at them and read only the one word. If…. that even makes sense to you..
