These first pictures are from my crazy trip in Kansas City, Missouri. Yep, the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, June 2011. I had earned 1st place at both Regionals and State for the ‘Promotional Bulletin Board’ competition with my partner Allison. Which could not go with me to Nationals, but Alyssa did instead. We didnt place at Nationals, but We were competing against 43 teams from almost every state.
Kansas City Live! This was in the Power and Light District, downtown KC, at the Skills USA Champions Night Dance. It was probably the most fun dance I’ve ever been to. You try doing the cha cha slide and such with around 5,000-10,000 teenagers your own age. It’s crazy. They had a band playing new top-chart songs and classics that everyone knows.
Oh, the sweet smell of baseball. Actually, not too sweet of a smell when the KC Royals are playing. The Arizona Diamondbacks whooped their butts. It was almost painful to watch. Even though I didn’t really pay attention in the first place, since the game was so horrible.
Cameras of the crowd waving their hands with the music.
The lion got groovy! Wow, that made me sound so old.
Opening Ceremonies at Kemper Arena.
I think they were from like Connecticut or Minnesota or some state, I can’t remember.
The fountains behind the screen and outfield.
While playing “I’m On a Boat!” over the speakers. Yeah. Pretty sweet.
This set of pictures are from my trip to Oregon I went on in August, because I had visited my family there in Tigard, and for my grandparents’ 50th anniversary! There were tons of old people, but me and my cousins and the guests they brought with the, we all just hung out upstairs with the Xbox and colored pictures. We also took a day to spend in Seaside on the coast, so I took pictures on the beach also, I was taking pictures nonstop on this trip, as did Sarah, who is my cousin’s girlfriend, but my friend too, so we had our cameras in hand most of the time.
Marcus and Sarah’s feet in the water; Seaside, Oregon.
50th Anniversary cake for my grandparents (above and below)
My cousin Kristi in the wind and water.
Marcus walking on the beach. Yeah, it’s obvious.
A game of bean bags. Cousin Marcus and my dad
This is like.. “hey I wanted to cut the cake!!” “well thats too bad.”
Gotta love when 11-year old girls run towards you and splash you with the water their feet picks up.
And an Eyeball.
Inspiration: kp studios I chose this website/blog for this post for the beach pictures I took in Oregon. The pictures on this blog aren’t overly edited or PhotoShopped to the max, they’re nice and well-taken, but they still show the love in the family with a low vibrance, but the smiles and the white clothes bring more vibrance into the picture, which I like low-vibrance summer style beach pictures, it’s kinda my thing.
