Blogmas Day 17 – the final countdown – New Year’s, 2014?!

I know, I know, I’m a day late. I didn’t promise crap though that this post would be uploaded on Jan 1, 2014. No, I did not. And yes, I did just have to correct my typing because I accidentally wrote 2013 on that date. Whatevs. Sooo anyways! Today is January 2nd, and I can honestly say that I feel as if 2014 will be an awesome year. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but I think people have been so much more excited for the new year this year than they have been for a few years now. I’d also like to say rest in peace to James Avery, who played Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. That was an awesome show, I used to watch it all the time while they aired in on Nickelodeon at night, for a while, a few years back. I just feel like this year will be a good one. 2013 was definitely a big year, but I feel like 2014 will be a golden year for a lot of people. For the past 48 hours I have literally been doing nothing and it feels amazing. I don’t go back to school until the 13th, so I’m using my lazy time very wisely I must say! 2013 was a pretty good year for me, I hit a lot of milestones, but hopefully 2014 I’ll hit a few cool milestones this year too. Here’s a little summary of 2013 from my life:

– graduated high school.

– started college.

– got a 3.7 gpa for my first semester of college, I am very happy.

– turned 19. I can now serve or sell alcohol but i still can’t buy or drink it.. legally! :P

– made a few new friends.

-made a few good choices, made a few bad choices.

– went to two senior keggers within 3 days and didn’t get drunk at either one..

-yeah.

– went camping 18 times between May and September. I’m done camping until this summer, for sure.

– I made a lot of brownies this past year.

– I bought nearly $300 of Christmas presents for my family with all of my own money, besides the $20 my dad gave me in case I couldn’t afford something

– spent Christmas and my birthday in another state for the first time ever. And the first time spending Christmas morning with my grandparents in 16 years. First time ever having Christmas where all grandkids or kids were present with my dad’s side of the family, because the last time my cousin Kristi hadn’t been born yet.

-i survived. and I mean really survived, I didn’t just slug through the year waiting for nothing to happen.

Anyways, that’s all I think I have to share today. Happy New Year everyone, I hope you had a wonderful year and here are some cheers to an even greater year to come! In the meantime, you can check me out on instagram- @kayleehatch & @kayleeannphoto, twitter – @hatch94, or tumblr – @kayleebug9412 – ha i think thats my username… But I’d steer from my tumblr anyways because I literally post nothing and I have 3 followers, woo!
