Backyard/Macro

I just spent time in my backyard taking pictures of my cats, puppy, and my mom’s garden. I was trying to see how well my camera can focus when it’s on Macro mode; some pictures turned out well, others did not. Here are the few that I like or wanted to edit.

after: The point of this picture, was that I was trying to bring out the details  on the leaf, and to see how well Macro on my camera would do it.

after: Honestly the only aspect of this picture I like is the color scheme and contrast.

before:

after: What I was trying to do was bring out as much detail of this leaf as I could. The only way I could do it is have the sunlight shining through the leaf, but the only angle I could get at without tripping over a cement block and falling face-first in dirt, was this angle. I do not like the sun flares or all the crap in the back of the picture.

after: too much flash..

  1. The second to last image really caught my attention. Crop in tighter on it though. The table and chairs in the background is a bit distracting. The light on the leaf is money. Can’t get much better light. Very nice seeing on this one.
For the first flower shot, look for unique angles to shoot at. Looking down at flowers is a common angle, take photos at angles that people do not see usually. Go places that people do not go and show them what they do not see.
