Blown-Out Studio Snapshots.

So We got bored last week, and Bailey wanted to show me her ideas for her next post but I was taking pictures of her showing me. So it was her idea, but I took just these photos. So she was my inspiration for this post, even though I’m not aware of her doing that project yet: [ http://baileyboo2.wordpress.com/ ] Then Twitchell walked in, so I just got more pictures of him too.

That was blown out on purpose.

  1. Work on getting more disciplined with your lighting. Hopefully this doesn’t sound mean- anyone can go in and crank up the lights to make it look funky. Work more on controlling the light, use the lights to give separation between the subject and the background, try different setups until you have good exposure all around.

A good goal is to have detail in all areas of the photos. Blown out you can play with and have fun, but also show that you have an understanding of the lights and control of them.
