SkillsUSA Regionals.

Everyone who went to Regionals: We all did amazing! good job! We make a good team :)

So Friday was the regionals conference for Skills and it was a really long day, from sun up to sun down. We rode a bus down to Lewiston, where it was being held at the LCSC campus.

I competed in Promotional Bulletin Board with my partner Allison, and Photography (of course).

Me and Allison won 1st Place on the Promo board! WOOHOO!

and I almost tied for 1st in photography, but I was stupid and forgot a second resume, but congrats to alyssa and brenden who tied for first! :) And 1,2, & 3 places in photography- all CHS kids ;) we rock!

Congrats to everyone, you all did well!

Here are the two prints I took to Regionals for the photography competition:

And here are the three pictures I took on the LCSC campus for the field shoot for the competition,

we had to do a portrait, an architectural picture, and one with litter.

I really like how my portrait turned out. I lowered the vibrance to get a grayer look but with keeping a touch of the color.

This is my architectural picture, off the administrative building at lcsc, the clock tower was perfect for this subject.

I really like how the stripes on the McD’s straws match the colors in the painted curb.

  3. These pictures are really great! There is a big variety of composition and style in them. If I had to say something bad about the pictures, I guess I would say they aren’t as original as they could be. The lighting on the beach is amazing and I like how you only used part of the person. The contrast between the bright dandelion and gray wood really makes the second picture pop. The tone of the building picture is very fitting and I like the perspective. You have a lot of talent and I love your work!
