Free Choice of May.

For a few of these photos, I brought out my larger zoom lens, the 55-250 mm. I feel like the 55-250 focuses better than my 18-55 mm lens does, and that pictures taken with the bigger lens turn out way clearer too. These pictures are the best pictures [mostly the flower pictures] I’ve taken in a while, despite the high ISO and it’s bad effects, in my opinion. Which is awesome, because then I’ll [hopefully] be creative and ready for my final these next few weeks.

FLOWERS. yep. for the bright pink flowers, I was focusing more on the raindrops and the color, not really the actual flower itself. I like how these turned out.

SMILE.

Dogs smile, oh yes they do.

RAIN. I was screwing around with my shutter speed, after totally failing my attempts for the last project. These didn’t turn out as I was necessarily wanting them to, but I kinda like them. They almost look like they are brush stroked or painted or something. Nifty.

AROUND THE YARD.

  1. I love all your photographs! they are really beautiful and strong :) I definitely like the first one of the dew on the flowers the best… Micro photographs are amazing :) You should definitely do more of them! Especially if you have the camera for it! I don’t, so I don’t do them so often :\ Anywho, thanks for posting this! And good luck on future photo fun!

  2. Sweet! Look at all the likes that you are getting from all kinds of other bloggers! My guess is that the exposure is coming from adding the keywords to your post, gets you more exposure and your work seen by more people. Very cool.

Very nice detail images. One thing that zoom lenses do is compresses space as well as gives less depth of field, which for these images is great. Helps to isolate the subject, eliminate distracting elements, gets the main subject really as the main subject.
Great that you are photographing in the rain, those drops add quite a bit to the flower images.
