Lens-Artists photo Challenge: E-W, N-S
East meets West and North meets South is the topic for this photography challenge from the Lens-Artists. As i am from Northern Idaho, i am in the north and west and honestly in one of the prettiest areas of the country. I hope these do it at least a little justice.
The East •seems• to have more greenery spread throughout, but the West is definitely not falling short. This waterfall is tucked way back in the national forest and is accessible by foot, but only if you plan on driving for a while first. Walking through the deserts of either the Eastern hemisphere, or all the way over in California, are usually the places where you’ll find a multitude of sand. Yet again, Idaho has shown us another secret. German engineering, meet Wyoming. This one just deserved a spot. Also Idaho. Settlers moved into Idaho pretty soon after Lewis and Clark, and there are still ghost towns ready to see, even in the deepest valleys. The first snowmobile was invented in Maine in 1908. They’ve come along ways since then. Featuring my boyfriend’s turbocharged snowmobile on the top of a peak in one of the most prominent mountain ranges in Idaho. Again, east meets the west. We don’t have kids, but we do have toys. This baby’s first stop on the Oregon coast was spectacular. Inland sand meets the ocean. This is beargrass. It only grows in the Pacific Northwest and does not bloom every year. The top little thing is kind of like a pollen covered dead dandelion when you grab it. It’s an odd plant for sure. And last, Japanese engineering meets Idaho. I’ve always thought it was funny though, how Toyota has successfully made vehicles that work so dang well and are perfect for any American adventure. Is Toyota more American than America? Don’t come for me on that. I love me a good running Chevy any day. But Yota. Hats off.
I love a good photo challenge. Have a great Monday everyone.
I own all rights to all of these photos, as taken by yours truly.
